Originally from appleton, wisconsin, McKenna is a 20 year old Sound designer and engineer based in Chicago, Il. she originally started her musical journey at the age of 8 playing viola where her love for music and sound began. during her childhood, mckenna acted in a few community theater shows. in 2020, she transitioned from acting to sound design when she began high school. Her past credits include productions with Xavier Fine arts Theatre, Columbia college Chicago, and st. Norbert College.

As well as collegiate level theater, McKenna is also an apprentice stagehand of IATSe local 470. They are testing in all departments such as carpentry, audio, electrics, props, wardrobe, shop, and conference a/v. currently, she has passed all written exams and is currently preparing for her practical exams in Fall 2026. McKenna has worked in multiple venues across northeast WI in various departments, not just audio.
